Sa Von Rudenick
Minnetonka, Minnesota

Upon her brother Shayde’s diagnosis of Adrenomyeloneurophy (AMN) in 1992, Sa Von’s family immediately connected with the ULF looking for help.

It wasn’t until the disease progressed quickly that her brother’s diagnosis was then recognized as Adrenoleukodystrophy (X-ALD). After that, they learned a lifesaving bone marrow transplant was no longer an option.

Shayde passed away in 1995 leaving a legacy of hope, humility, and kindness that Sa Von hopes to carry on in his memory.

Subsequently, her goals are to help ensure families are aware of and have access to newborn screenings, get information in front of medical providers to aid in accurate diagnosis, and support succession of medical researchers.

Sa Von was born and raised in the western suburbs of Minneapolis. She enjoys her free time by kayaking, golfing, hiking, biking, playing softball and traveling.

Her fulfilling career in Human Resources is due in part to her Bachelors of Science degree obtained from Minnesota State University, Mankato and HR certifications, SHRM–SCP and SPHR.
