Hope and Resilience Through the Holidays
October 20, 2021
While holidays often bring much joy, more and more they are blended with increased stress. Unrealistic expectations, negative thought patterns, and unhealthy coping can leave individuals with a sense of being overwhelmed and having no control. However, through the impact of psychoeducation about how the brain and body process stress, identifying stress impact through self-awareness, and intentional coping strategies, Cornerstone of Hope will equip attendees with practical skills to move through the holidays with hope and resilience!
Objectives for Attendees:
-Understand how the brain and body process and react to stress
-Recognize physical, behavioral, emotional and relational symptoms of stress
-Learn skills to manage expectations and reframe negative thinking
-Gain healthy holiday-specific coping strategies for managing stress and anxiety
-Create individualized Hope & Resilience Plan for the Holidays to refer back to as needed
