The ULF Scientific Review Committee reviewed the many, high-quality research grant applications that were submitted from around the world for ULF funding. We received 3 times as many proposals this round than last, and we appreciate all of the proposal submissions from devoted scientists.
The United Leukodystrophy Foundation congratulates these gifted researchers, each of whom received a grant to support their projects:
– Dr. Tracy Hagemann with the University of Wisconsin-Madison
Her topic is “Use of Antisense Oligoneucleotides as a Therapeutic Approach for Alexander Disease.”
– Dr. Quasar Padiath with the University of Pittsburgh
His topic is “Identification of Potential Drug Therapies for Autosomal Dominant Leukodystrophy.”
– Dr. Deborah Renaud with the Mayo Clinic
Her topic is “Survey-based Natural History Study for Men and Women with AMN.”
Thank you to all of you who have made donations to the ULF, which allows us to support vital research proposals, in our efforts to advance the science and discover new therapies for our patients.
