ALD Hope request for support of a child in Egypt
ALD Hope is seeking funding for Mohamed, a child in Egypt who has been affected by ALD. An older brother recently passed away from ALD. Treatment options in Egypt are limited, with no stem cell donor registry or transplant center registered with the international donor registry, making it very difficult to find a matched unrelated donor.
Riham Badawy, CEO and Co-Founder of ALD Hope, has been personally coordinating with international specialists and hospitals. She has identified the National University Hospital in Singapore as a promising option to provide a medical consultation and treatment. The family has received their visas for Singapore. Unfortunately, the estimated hospital cost is around USD $230,000, which is far beyond the family’s financial means.
If you would like to learn more about Mohamed’s circumstances, please contact Riham Badawy at riham.badawy@aldhope.org. Riham has established a GoFundMe link https://gofund.me/b44f7f59a for anyone who may wish to contribute toward Mohammad’s medical care.
