Yearly, the United Leukodystrophy Foundation welcomes medical research grant proposals in need of funding from the leukodystrophy medical professional community. The number of grant applications have consistently grown in the past years with submissions coming in from all over the United States as well as internationally. Proposals are considered by our Medical and Scientific Advisory Board and ranked based on merit and potential impact to the field. Thanks to generous donations, the ULF has been able to grant $215,000 for medical research since 2015.
Applications involving any of the leukodystrophies with budgets up to $30,000 (plus up to 10% indirect costs) will be accepted from June 1 through October 1, 2018. The ULF Medical and Scientific Advisory Board will review applications for scientific merit, feasibility, and likelihood to advance the field. Funding will be awarded by late November 2018 and extend for one year.
Researchers must use the 2018 ULF Research Grant Application and submit applications electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org. Funded investigators will be invited to present their research at a future ULF Scientific Symposium in the Chicagoland area.
The ULF welcomes proposals from scientists in all countries and looks forward to promising results from the studies. Multiple grants will be awarded.
