John Kaprich
Ankeny, Iowa

John’s career has focused on managing the financial well-being of both institutional and individual investment pools.

John would like his legacy to include helping people, so he looked for a nonprofit that could use his skills.  He wants to apply his expertise to develop and protect the capital needed to make a difference in funding research and awareness.

John joined the Board in 2022.  Because he doesn’t have a family member affected by a leukodystrophy, his first objective is to become more versed on leukodystrophy and how it impacts the lives of those affected. His second objective is to increase and protect (appropriately) the assets available to fund disease research and awareness. He also wants to increase awareness through social media penetration. He believes it’s likely that both early-stage detection and funding opportunities are directly correlated with leukodystrophy awareness.
